Gage Connections for Universal Mobile Module
The Universal Mobile Module (transmitter) wirelessly sends your gage measurements to a base unit. A connection is needed between your gage and the Universal Mobile Module in order for the Universal Mobile Module to read the gage measurements. To connect your Universal Mobile Module to your gage, you need to select the appropriate gage cable and cable length. To assist you, we have available for reference and download the GageWay Wireless "Gage Connections" book below.
Selecting the Appropriate Gage Gable
For each of your Universal Mobile Modules you need to specify a gage connection.
In order to select the appropriate gage connection, you will need to know the gage manufacturer and the gage model/series. For Mitutoyo gages you need the Code No.
The identification of the gage connection is fairly straight forward if you have the gage manufacturer and gage model/series or Code No.
Selecting the Appropriate Cable Length
The decision that you will then have to make is how long your cable needs to be.
For gages such as calipers and micrometers, we show a common cable length.
For other gages such as digital indicators, the length you will require will be influenced by your gaging setup. It is probably better to choose too error on the side of the gage connection being a few inches too long rather than a few inches too short.
Custom lengths to meet you specific connection requirements are also available at no extra charge.
