GageWay
Interface Family
Connect
an unlimited number of digital gages & RS-232 devices
to an RS-232, USB or Network port
MicroRidge offers a full range of gage interface solutions
for digital gages (calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, etc.) and RS-232
devices. The GageWay SM
interfaces are a low-cost gage interface solution for connecting a single
Mitutoyo digital gage to a USB port or an RS-232 serial port. The
GageWay Mx interfaces are designed for connecting
either 4 or 8 Mitutoyo gages to a serial port. The
GageWay Series
is a complete solution for connecting 2 or more digital gages and RS-232
devices. The GageWay Series is the only digital gage interface that offers
both RS-232 and TCP/IP network outputs. All of our interfaces can be
connected to a USB port.
The configurability of MicroRidge interface products allows them to be used with
any SPC or data acquisition software.
Which GageWay Interface is
Your Best Solution?
To ensure that you are selecting the proper GageWay interface, take a
look at the GageWay Interface Comparison Table to compare the full GageWay
family of interfaces.
GageWay SM Interfaces

GageWay SM
with
RS-232 output

GageWay SM
with USB output |
-
Connects a single Mitutoyo digital gage to
a USB port or an RS-232 serial port.
-
No external power
supply required.
-
Communications cable
(RS-232 or USB) built in.
-
Pre-configured
communications set to 9600-N-8-1.
-
No setup required.
-
Upgrade the firmware in
the field, and because of its small size, it becomes part of the cable
allowing greater flexibility for your cabling setup.

GageWay Mx Interfaces
|

GageWay Mx4 |
-
Mx4
connects 4 Mitutoyo gages to an RS-232 serial port or USB port.
-
Use
the ProCable to connect RS-232 devices.
-
Contains an RS-232
expansion port (located on back panel) for an additional RS-232 input or
for chaining the interfaces.
|
|

GageWay Mx8 |
-
Mx8
connects 8 Mitutoyo gages to an RS-232 serial port or USB port.
-
Two of the Mitutoyo
ports can also be used for RS-232 inputs by using the
LC Cable.
-
Use the
ProCable to connect additional RS-232 devices.
-
Contains an RS-232
expansion port (located on back panel) for an additional RS-232 input or
for chaining the interfaces.

GageWay Series Interfaces
|

GageWay3 & GageWay5 |
-
GageWay3
connects 2 digital gages to an RS-232 serial port or USB port.
-
GageWay5 connects 4 digital
gages to an RS-232 serial port or USB port.
-
Use the
LC Cable or
ProCable to connect RS-232 devices.
-
GageWay5 includes an RS-232
expansion port (located on back panel) for a 5th input or for chaining
interfaces.
-
TCP/IP network
connection available as an option.
|
|

GageWay4 & GageWay6 |
-
GageWay4
connects 2 RS-232 devices.
-
GageWay6
connects 4 RS-232 devices.
-
GageWay6
includes an RS-232 expansion port (located on back panel) for a 5th input
or for chaining interfaces.
-
TCP/IP
network connection available as an option.
|
|

ProCable |
-
Converts an RS-232
input to a Mitutoyo compatible output.
-
Use the ProCable to
connect additional serial devices into digital gage interfaces.
-
The baud rate and
communication parameters are automatically detected by the ProCable when
your serial device sends a measurement to the ProCable.
|
|

LC Cable |
-
Converts the RS-232
voltage levels to acceptable levels that can be used by GageWay3, GageWay5
and Mx8 interfaces.
-
To use the
LC Cable, you must define the baud rate and communication
parameters in the setup program for the appropriate interface.
