MobileCollect Wireless Firmware for Products with the RM2.4 Radio Module

Base with Keyboard Wedge Wedge/USB 6/27/2022

This firmware is used for Bases that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module. The update is done via a USB cable connected to a PC.

This version supports:

  • CDI Indicators containing the embedded
  • RM2.4 Radio ModuleMitutoyo U-Wave Transmitters
Wedge Processor
The Wedge/USB Base uses a separate processor for the Keyboard Wedge functions.
 
This firmware is used for updating the Wedge Processor in a Keyboard Wedge/USB Base. The update is done via a USB cable connected between the USB port labeled Serial on the Wedge/USB Base and a USB port on a to a PC.
Mobile Module Mini 2/29/2024

This firmware is used for updating Mini Mobile Modules that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module.  The update is done via a wireless link from a MobileCollect Base.

This firmware is used for updating Command and RS-232 V2 Mobile Modules that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module.  The update is done via a wireless link from a MobileCollect Base.

This firmware is used for updating Digital and RS-232 Remotes that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module. The update is done via a USB cable connected to a PC.

CDI Indicators CORE 8/20/2020

This firmware is used for CDI CORE and VRS Indicators that contain an embedded RM2.4 Radio Module. The update is done via a wireless link from a MobileCollect Base.  Refer to Using CDI Indicator with MobileCollect for accessing the Radio Menu on the CDI Indicator. This gage is also sold under several private label brands.

Legacy Bases USB 4/15/2020

This firmware is used for Bases that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module. The update is done via a USB cable connected to a PC.

This version DOES NOT support:

MobileCollect Wireless Firmware for Products with the ATZB Radio Module

This firmware is used for MobileCollect products that contain the ATZB Radio Module.  Unlike the MobileCollect products that contain the RM2.4 Radio Module, there is no special logos on the product label for the ATZB based products.  These products were discontinued at various times between February 2016 and February 2018.  This firmware is provided to customers using older versions so they can maintain their systems.

This firmware is used for updating Digital Remotes that contain the ATZB Radio Module.  The update is done via a DB9 serial cable connected to a PC.

USB Driver

MicroRidge products that require USB Serial drivers are all based on the USB to Serial IC manufactured by FTDI Chip (www.ftdichip.com).

The latest drivers and a description of the supported operating systems are available at www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm. The drivers included in the table below are the setup executable drivers available from the link in the Comments on the FTDI Chip site. These drivers have a file extension of exe. We do not use the drivers with the zip extension.

This driver is a WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certified release. This driver is only for use with products containing the USB to Serial IC manufactured by FTDI Chip.
