Important Note! MicroRidge also offers the WedgeLink SP and WedgeLink AT “hardware wedge” products for serial output devices. Hardware wedges do not require software to function, making them a preferred solution for many situations.

Serial Communications

Supports 2 serial devices connected simultaneously.
Compatible with physical serial ports, USB/Serial Converters, or any device that transmits serial data via USB including scales, scanners, readers, and more.
Separate parsing schemes can be set up for the data coming from each serial port.

Programmable Serial Commands

Customize up to 50 serial commands including repeats and timing delays.
Specify which serial port(s) to send each command.
6 Quick Command buttons available to quickly access common commands on the main screen.

WedgeLink Lite

Transfers data as it is received from the serial device.
Add date and/or time stamps

WedgeLink Standard

Ability to create 5 independent parsing schemes and assign them to specific serial ports
Parsing schemes can be programmed to activate based on a unique data string.
Parsing Features:
- Add date/time stamps
- Specify a prefix/suffix to add to the beginning/end of each data packet.
- Delete unwanted characters or character positions.
- Insert strings before or after specified character positions.
- Discard packets that do not contain a specified match string.
- Replace specified characters with a unique string.
- Math functions for screening high/low values, finding numeric fields, applying equations, etc.
- A packet can be identified by any combination of the following: A unique end-of-packet character, number of characters in the packet, or gap time between packets.
- Test function within program to test parsing schemes with or without connection to live device.
